Grant aid
Grant aid is offered by a number of Irish government departments to
help companies improve their environmental performance. The grant schemes
and eligibility changes from time to time and so only a general overview
is provided. Environmental Efficiency has excellent relationships with
the organisations listed below and can help you formulate a suitable
proposal to submit for grant aid.
Implementation of Environmental Management Systems.
Both Enterprise Ireland and Shannon Development offer grant aid to help
implement to either ISO 14001 or EMAS through the use of consultants.
The grants are for a three stage implementation and grant aid is payable
on completion of each stage. Successful certification to ISO 14001 or
EMAS is not required to claim the grant. Grant aid is 50% of eligible
costs. The scheme is open to all Irish owned SMEs. For further details

Environmentally Superior Product
The Environmentally Superior Products (ESP) initiative is designed to
support manufacturing companies experiencing legal or market pressures
to reduce the environmental impact of their products.
ESP provides financial and other supports to assess ways to reduce
the environmental impact of a product(s) without compromising product
functionality, quality, ability to manufacture or cost.

Cleaner Greener Production Programme
The CGPP aims to assist companies to develop innovative solutions to
environmental problems. It will provide grant aid to companies who look
beyond just managing environmental impacts and actually seek to prevent
them from occurring.
