Energy Overview

Better energy management can lead to cost saving of typically up to 10%.  Improved efficiency can yield savings of up to 80% in some areas.

Energy management covers policies and procedures for reducing energy use and the carbon footprint.  The scope of energy management ranges from adopting Energy Policies to having a formal Energy Management System certified to EN16000.

An energy audit will typically identify between 15 and 20 energy saving opportunities.  These opportunities will be presented in a report ranked by financial payback.  We can then help with implementation and training.     Our average energy cost saving is 23% within a 15 month financial payback.  To date, Environmental Efficiency has conducted over 700 energy related projects in Ireland including carbon footprinting, CHP and renewable feasibility studies, staff awareness training and implementation of EN16000 Energy Management Systems.

Significant financial assistance is avialable via grants from SEAI and through the Accelerated Capital Allowance.  Click to see our blog on this topic.
