Noise Prediction Modelling

Noise can be very annoying, especially to people living near commercial or industrial activities, as a result some sites will have noise limits imposed by the EPA or the local authority.  Typically, maximum noise levels will be specified for the day with lower levels for night and weekends.  In addition, limits may be set for tonal noise.

The correct measurement of noise levels requires specialist instruments and technical knowledge.  Environmental Efficiency has the ability to undertake noise monitoring for both broadband and tonal noise.

Where noise levels exceed set limits, Environmental Efficiency can create a Noise Prediction Model that can predict the noise levels at site boundaries and specified locations.  The effects of erecting barriers, moving plant within the site and other noise mitigation measures can then be explored.

If you have non-compliance notices then we can help you reduce noise levels by identifying the significant noise and tonal sources and investigating various options to reduce the noise.  The possible options include barriers, relocation of equipment, enclosures, acoustic damping and tuned ducts.
