Occupational Noise Monitoring

Occupational noise is the noise a worker is exposed to as part of his or her employment.

The protection of workers from occupation noise is currently governed by the Control of Noise at Work Regulations  which have replaced the EC (Protection of Workers) (Exposure to Noise) Regulations, 1990.  These regulations set limits for the noise workers should be exposed to, the provision of ear protection, hearing checks and signs in the workplace.

Environmental Efficiency is able to measure occupation noise to determine compliance with regulations.  We will issue a report that will state the areas of non compliance and explain the remedial action required.

Environmental Noise is different to Occupation Noise in that Environmental Noise is concerned with noise levels outside the site boundary.
